Stamford Riverside Festival - Saturday 5th July 2008 Stamford Riverside Festival is now recognised as the East Midlands Best Free Music Festival and attracts a huge number of people to visit the area, providing a significant business opportunity.
In 2007 28,000 people from all age groups from 0 - 95 years of age passed through the gates of Riverside and just 29% of these lived in Stamford. Put another way, there were about 20,000 extra wallets visiting Stamford on that day!
At present the Festival is approximately £20,000 short of its target to stage the event in 2008 so any help and support Stamford Chamber members can provide would be most welcome.
It isn’t just about cash. Donations of equipment, services or expertise are just as welcome - everything from help with photocopying or printing, to staff to help for a few hours on the day in the Festival office or setting up the site helps enormously.
